Should We Stay or Should We Go?

Good ole Norfolk is just trying to make us feel like we're back home in California.  First an earthquake rocked us earlier this week.  Now we're dealing with a hurricane heading right for us and set to arrive at some point this weekend.  Christopher and I have been really conflicted about whether we should stick around and weather the storm or evacuate west towards dryer, calmer air.  We've decided to pack up the circus and get out of town.  Life with a newborn, two other great kids and a dog is enough of an adventure without some crazy flooding or power outages or whatever else Irene is bringing to town.

So bottom line...we'll be safe and out of harm's way.  In other news...here's some Hannah:

Livin' the Life

So you know what we've been up to...eating, sleeping (not quite enough), holding the baby, entertaining the wild ones (this item done with flair by Yammy, Poppa, Jules and Christopher).  Here are scenes from the last week:

Yammy and Aunt Jules took the kids to the Virginia Zoo.

Si LOVES trains...I swear!

Christopher took the kids to the amazing Portsmouth Children's Museum.  We all went back as a family on Sunday...I imagine spending many cold winter mornings here with Si and Hannah.  This place is awesome!

Hannah Julie

We are blessed beyond words.  Baby Hannah Julie was born on Wednesday and is as perfect as she could be.  She weighed in at 8lbs, 7 oz (the smallest of the three babies...can you believe it?) and is 22.5 inches long.  We came home from the hospital yesterday afternoon and are getting settled and finding a new routine for our family of five.

Here are a few photos from those hazy first days in the hospital.  I think Christopher's got some good ones on his phone as well, so I'll hunt those down soon.

Mils and Si are doing AWESOME.  They are the most adoring, gentle, concerned preschoolers I've ever met.  Mils holds her, stares at her, comforts her, generally dotes on her non-stop.  Si tears around the house screaming "Baby Hannah" until he figures out where we're at...he loves to hold her until she cries and is generally loving and amazed by it all.  Fun times.
